Official Press Release Statement

In light of the current political environment in the State of Louisiana and the country, we would like to make the following statements to clarify our beliefs and our affiliations:

We believe in equal rights for all U.S. citizens regardless of race, religion or sex. We do not discriminate against any group of people.

We believe that the U.S. Constitution and The Bill of Rights are the foundation for our government and that all government actions should be Constitutionally based.

We believe that every U.S. citizen is entitled to ALL of the rights enumerated in the Constitution and The Bill of Rights.

We also recognize that there are many groups in this state and country who are similar in nature to ours. Each group, in our opinion, has the right to gather together and voice their own beliefs.

We support some of these groups and there are some that we do not support.

We are the Cajun Guard. While our names are similar, we are not affiliated with the Louisiana Cajun Militia (who has recently been involved in instigating confrontation with other groups).

Our primary goal is a peaceful, supportive role for our communities. We do not condone violence for violence sake.

Nor do we condone those groups who attempt to inflame people in the current social environment.
